This year’s City of Middletown Christmas Tree was donated by the Foglia Family of Wallkill.

Festivities will kick off in Run 4 Downtown Park (located at 15 North St.), where the Middletown YMCA Youth Choir will perform at 5:30 p.m. Festival Square’s main stage will feature One Swift Kick with a special holiday-themed set.

At 6:30, the parade will depart from its starting point at the Garcia Supermarket parking lot (located at 123 North St.). The parade will lead Santa Claus and numerous groups around the community through the route, which ends at the tree. The tree will then be lit to officially start the holiday season.

Following the Tree Lighting Parade, guests can make their way to the Paramount Theatre to enjoy a free showing of the 1946 feature film, It’s a Wonderful Life, which begins at 7:45 p.m.
